Held during the third week of October each year, National School Bus Safety Week is an active and evolving public education program and an excellent way for parents, students, teachers, motorists, school bus operators, school administrators, and other interested parties – to join forces and address the importance of school bus safety. School districts throughout the country observe School Bus Safety Week to promote school bus safety.
Here at NACSB, our locations went all out for safety week! Locations wore different safety colors for the days of the week, and contract managers celebrated the drivers for putting safety first by giving them themed breakfasts and lunches.
They also participated in a safety board contest! Each location had the option to participate in a contest where they had to display how they viewed safety, with the winning locations receiving pizza parties. The employees were super engaged in the contest; their creativity showed in each display.
Last but not least, to top off the week, employees were given safety pins to thank them for their diligence in providing safety and security for the students. Check out some of the photos from safety week down below. To see all the pictures from safety week, follow NACSB on social media.
